Computer Science graduate working at the intersection of systems engineering and artificial intelligence. I study how concurrency, scheduling, and memory behaviour shape the performance and cost of AI infrastructure — and I build the systems that run it.
Meet Eranga
I'm a Computer Science graduate from the University of Peradeniya, where I finished with First Class Honours and now work as a Temporary Demonstrator. My interests sit at the intersection of systems engineering and machine learning.
Most of what I know came from building things that had to stay up: distributed backends, asynchronous AI pipelines, and the cloud infrastructure underneath them. Watching those systems behave badly under load is what raised the questions I now find worth researching—why parallelism stops paying off, how scheduling and memory behaviour quietly set the cost of running AI workloads.
I'm currently looking toward PhD research in that space. Always glad to talk with people working on similar problems.
